6 Day Kruger Safari – Time to be Immersed in the Bush

A 6 day Kruger experience gives you ample time to get a really good feel for a wildlife game reserve, along with lots of opportunities to try out extra activities.

6 days in Kruger is a long enough time in the bush for you to really become attuned to the sights.

If you’re new to going on safari in Africa, as each day of game watching passes and you have more experiences, your eyes will become accustomed to picking out the shapes of animals in the bush, such as the outline of a kudu in the scrub or telling a distant rock apart from a rhino!

You’ll aslo have the chance to take a good variety of photos and you don’t have to have a fancy camera with a big lens in order to capture great memories!

On a 6 day safari, you’ll get to explore a vaster section of the park, like more rest camps, and you’ll begin to notice changes in the vegetation as you head further in one direction.

Elephants crossing roadYou’ll also get the chance to see a particular section of the park in more detail such as spending quiet time watching for animals and birds at a dam or bird hide. Sunset Dam near Skukuza Rest Camp is one of our favourite hides from which to see wildlife.

Staying in the park for 6 days gives you the opportunity to try out as many activities as you want with a bit of planning. There are a range of extras available at many rest camps such as game drives, game walks and bush braais (BBQs).

When you check into your rest camp, ask at reception what activities they have on offer. If you’re only staying one night at a rest camp, you may have to book ahead for an activity.

On top of these tours, there’s nothing more relaxing at the end of a game watching day to sit down in the warm evening air and make your own BBQ or eat in a rest camp restaurant.

For a 6 day safari Kruger National Park will give you an experience you’ll never forget. The choices are all yours to make!
